Licensed Professional Counselor

Therapy that meets you at your own pace.

A supportive, purposeful space for adults, couples, families, and youth working through anxiety, mood issues, ADHD, relationships, parenting, trauma, spiritual issues, and life's harder transitions.

Jeremy Boynton, LPC

"A good therapeutic relationship is built on trust, collaboration, empathy, and the ability to challenge unhelpful patterns at a pace that feels right for you."

Who I work with

A space for the people carrying it quietly.

I work with adults, couples, parents, and families navigating anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and change. I also have a particular passion for supporting men in engaging with therapy — creating room for emotional, relational, and personal concerns to be explored openly and without judgment.

About

Jeremy Boynton, LPC

I believe therapy is most effective when it feels both supportive and purposeful. A good therapeutic relationship is built on trust, collaboration, empathy, and the ability to challenge unhelpful patterns at a pace that feels right for you.

My approach is warm, conversational, and collaborative — while also being direct when it's needed. Drawing from evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches, I integrate practical skill-building with deeper, insight-oriented work. Together, we may explore recurring patterns in thoughts, beliefs, communication, relationships, and family experiences that continue to shape your present life.

Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, struggling in your relationships, or seeking a greater understanding of yourself, my goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment where healing, growth, and meaningful change can occur.

I enjoy working with youth, adults, couples, parents, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, parenting challenges, life transitions, trauma, and men's issues. I have a particular passion for supporting men in engaging with therapy — building a space where emotional, relational, and personal concerns can be explored openly and without judgment.

I practice at Partners Behavioral Health, also known as GE Family Services.

A bit about me

Where I come from.

I'm Alaska Native and White, and recently learned I'm part Hispanic as well — a discovery I'm still getting to know, including learning the language. I was born and raised in Utqiaġvik (formerly Barrow) until I was eleven, then moved to Fairbanks, where I finished growing up, went through high school, and then went into college.

I earned my B.S. in Biological Sciences, with a minor in Biochemistry, from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. That scientific foundation eventually carried me to Portland, Oregon, where I completed my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at George Fox University — with coursework in family therapy, couples therapy, and play therapy along the way.

Since then, I've worked as an inpatient therapist at a subacute youth facility, and in community mental health as a youth and family therapist, often alongside parents navigating life's harder moments, including relational and marital challenges.

I draw from a range of evidence-based practices and interventions depending on what fits you best, including:

Attachment, Regulation, and Competency (ARC) CBT DBT Solution-Focused Narrative Strengths-Based Person-Centered Adlerian Ecosystemic Structural/Strategic Family Therapy Collaborative Problem Solving Child-Centered Play Therapy Sandtray MATCH

I'm also familiar with the work of John Gottman, Ph.D. — developer of the Gottman Method for couples and married couples — as well as Terry Real, Ph.D., developer of Relational Life Therapy.

I've built experience across a wide range of concerns and age groups. If something falls outside my scope, I'll tell you honestly and help you find the next best fit — you deserve care that actually meets your needs.

Outside the office, I'm usually reading a therapy book to sharpen my practice, cooking, working on a craft or woodworking project, or out on one of Fairbanks' beautiful lakes and rivers.

FAQ

Good questions before your first session.

What happens in a first session?

We'll spend the first session getting to know each other — what's brought you in, what you're hoping for, and what pace feels right. There's no pressure to have it all figured out; we build the plan together.

Do you accept insurance?

Please reach out directly to discuss current insurance and fee information, as this can vary. [Add specifics on accepted plans / self-pay rates]

Do you offer telehealth or in-person sessions?

Contact me to discuss what's available and what works best for your schedule. [Confirm telehealth / in-person availability]

How long does therapy usually take?

There's no set timeline — some people come for a specific issue over a few months, others stay longer for ongoing support. We'll check in on progress together along the way.

Is what I share confidential?

Yes, with the standard legal and ethical exceptions (such as risk of harm to yourself or others, or as required by law). [Consider linking a full confidentiality/informed consent policy]

How do I get started?

Call or email using the details on the contact page, and we'll find a time to talk.
